Michael Peacock is an experienced, freelance web application developer based in the North of England, primarily focused on complex backend systems and APIs, and a consultant CTO advising technology start-up businesses.

As well as developing for the web, Michael also writes about it, with 4 published books the first three (Building websites with TYPO3, Selling Online with Drupal e-Commerce, and Drupal 6 Social Networking), focusing on particular content management systems, the fourth (PHP 5 e-commerce development) going through the development of a bespoke eCommerce oriented framework resulting in a powerful eCommerce package. He is currently finalising his fifth book, PHP 5 Social Networking, which is due for publication later this year.

When he isn’t in front of the computer, Michael is actively involved in amateur dramatics, volunteering with Juniper Productions in Newcastle.
